Orange peel:
A pebbled surface similar to that of an orange skin. Caused by coating not levelling out completely after application by spraying.
Causes:
1) Product insufficiently diluted
2) Air output from spray gun too high
3) Product drying too rapidly
Solutions:
1) Adjust viscosity of the coating
2) If viscosity is ok and problem persists, use retardant Can Lak 400-025 (for all lacquers). This will increase drying time and give coating sufficient time to spread evenly.
